Paul in the Intelligencer Journal

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 Paul was presented with the Samaritan Medal for peace and humanitarian achievement by Benyamim Tsedaka, chairman of the Samaritan Medal Committee. The award ceremony took place at the Gathering Place in Mount Joy, PA and was covered by the Intelligencer Journal  newspaper. Check out the news article here!

Paul & Sandy Receive Samaritan Medal for Peace and Humanitarian Achievement

On Saturday, December 29, 2007 Paul and Sandy were presented with an award from The Samaritan Medal Foundation in honor of their great work and everything Paul's Kids is doing for children in Vietnam.

The Samaritan Medal for Peace and Humanitarian Achievement is awarded for distinguished service, and Paul and Sandy are appreciative and humbled by the recognition. Paul says, "Sandy and I are honored, and receiving this award made today a great day for us and Paul's Kids."

Go Vap's New Exercise Room In the News!

To date, 14 publications have published articles about about Paul's Kids and the August 2007 grand opening of Go Vap Orphanage’s new exercise and physical therapy room - check them out here. Most articles are written in Vietnamese, but we've translated a few of the main messages below.

 

• Go Vap Orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City opened a new exercise and physical therapy room to benefit more than 200 children with physical and developmental disabilities living there.
• Officials from Paul’s Kids (www.paulskids.org), the U.S.-based charity that funded the new facility, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
• Paul’s Kids Vietnam Children’s Charity helps improve living conditions for orphans and other needy children in Vietnam.
• The organization’s name refers to Paul Pinkerton, an American soldier who saw first-hand how children suffered during the war. With his wife Sandy, he has returned to Vietnam many times to help Vietnamese children.

In April 2007, Paul was featured in the popular Vietnamese news publication, Lao Dong. The article praised Paul and Sandy's work with Vietnamese children and talked about their involvement in the Angelina Jolie adoption.
